What Is an Intervention?

An intervention is a structured and professionally choreographed meeting between a treatment-resistant individual and their family or support network. It is led by an experienced professional who sets the tone, delivers a clear message, and creates an environment of accountability.

The interventionist trains the family beforehand: what to say, what not to say, how to respond, where to sit, how to de-escalate, and how to avoid being drawn into manipulative or emotional traps.

The interventionist remains neutral, logical, and skilled at identifying manipulation and redirecting the conversation toward a solution. The goal is clear: to get the identified patient into treatment quickly and safely.

What Makes Us Different

We’re Affordable

Most intervention services cost $10,000 or more — we keep our pricing transparent and accessible, with interventions starting at just $3,600.

We’ve Been There

We’ve lived through addiction and recovery ourselves. That gives us the empathy, insight, and credibility to truly support families in crisis.

We’re Responsive

We know that addiction doesn’t wait, and neither should you. Our team is often available to begin the intervention process within 24 hours of your first call.

We Work as a Team

With every case, you get the combined strength of two seasoned professionals working together — offering more stability, support, and perspective from start to finish.

Choosing a Treatment Center

We make getting help simple, affordable, and honest.

Clinical Fit & Amenities

Selecting the right treatment center depends on clinical needs, budget, insurance coverage, availability, and client preferences. Our team can help guide you in choosing the best option. [Learn more about Placement Services]

Insurance Coverage

If the patient is using insurance, it is essential to choose an in-network treatment center. Always confirm co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs upfront. Insurance companies base treatment approvals on medical necessity and can cut off coverage at any time. The last thing you want is to have to discharge a loved one prematurely because of unexpected financial burdens.

Availability

Always check bed availability. If you're planning an intervention for the end of the week and the treatment center doesn’t have a bed, you'll need a backup plan

Detox Requirements

Depending on the substances used, detox may be required before admission. The treatment center can assess this. Some offer detox in-house; others use third-party providers. Either way, make sure the process is clear.

Individual Needs

Some individuals require specialized programs. For example, a young woman leaving an abusive relationship may benefit from a women-only environment. While enabling must be avoided, honoring specific needs can lead to better engagement in care.

How It Works

We're Here Because We've Been There.

Once you hire Interventions for Less, sign the service agreement, and submit payment, your intervention is secured on our calendar. From there, our team will guide you through each step so the process is clear and stress-free.

We provide all the materials you need to be fully prepared. Before the intervention, either the day before or earlier on the same day, the intervention team will conduct a 90-minute pre-intervention family meeting. This meeting can be done in person or via Zoom.
